👋 Hey, I'm Mihai

I’m a full-stack designer with a strong creative drive - crafting everything from UX architecture to refined visuals and expressive brand moments.

Alongside hands-on product work, I led design teams in two outsourcing companies, working primarily with UX designers and UI designers. I focused on mentoring, regular 1:1s, and helping people grow with clarity and confidence in their role. I navigated teams through organizational change, including mergers and acquisitions, kept morale and quality high during uncertainty, and made sure design remained a strong, respected voice in delivery, not just a service function.

This is not a polished pitch about frameworks or design buzzwords, no talk of "double diamonds" or overly abstract thinking. Just real examples of how I work.

I started designing back in 2003, building interfaces for the first Windows Mobile devices. Since then, I’ve led UX work across SaaS, healthcare, fintech, and more - and today, I’m focused on a medical app that's redefining digital workflows for dentists, along with a few personal side projects I'm passionate about.

This page gives you a straightforward look at my design process, decisions, and thinking - without the bullshit.

You’ll see real client Figma files, how I organize work, structure projects, and present designs clearly to both devs and stakeholders.

P.S.: All the messy bits, early iterations, and elements that didn’t make it into the final version are available on the Sandbox page in each Figma file. (v2,v7 final!, new idea78 :) - It’s all in there, I don’t delete stuff

Why only a few case studies?

Across 20+ years of design work, I’ve contributed to many large, complex products, most of them under NDA or through outsourcing partnerships. Because of this, only a curated selection of projects can be shared publicly, but they reflect the depth and style of the work I do.

Other stuff about me:

I enjoy building things with AI. Mostly as a way to learn, explore ideas, and have fun. I’ve experimented with multiple tools and often use Lovable.dev to quickly turn rough concepts into simple, working MVPs.

I use ChatGPT to think through ideas, shape flows, and write prompts for Lovable.dev, not as a shortcut, but as a way to better understand product decisions and constraints.
